It was that time of year again for the historical Fancy Dress day. Another excellent turnout from the pupils and a great deal of credit must go to the Higher History class who helped to raise a whopping 500 pounds. Well done!

Well thats the new term well and truly up and running and pupils work and events will start appearing shortly. At the moment we have a couple of S6 Advanced Higher History pupils who will hopefully be taking part in a Holocaust educational trip to Poland in October and Mr Balcombe has recently taken Advanced Higher Geography pupils to Shetland.

Deep Sea Fishing - KGS Activities

A big thanks to the Welcome Home fishing boat and its crew, Mr Drever and Mr Shearer and all the pupils who made the sea fishing trip such a success. 9 different species of fish were caught. Commiserations to those who were sick!

"Free at Last" Higher History pupils go on study leave

The Social Subjects Department will be running a whole school election to mirror the Scottish Parliament elections on May 3rd. Any pupils who want to be candidates (S1 to S3) should see Mr Ewing ASAP. Closing date for candidates entering election is March 12th.

The Result was as follows

After watching the news tonight about the snow in England I remembered the snow we got last year in Orkney. This is a view of the road up to my house. The road is under 3 feet of snow! So far in 2007 there has only been a few snow showers up here but the snow will come yet!
